George Hume

Served with his father in the Jacobite Army and was captured at Preston.


Sir George Hume

Lieutenant in the Grenadier Company of the Royal Fusiliers in 1702, served in Jacobite army 1715, captured at Preston, imprisoned and estates forfeited. He was fourth in direct descent from Sir George Home (Hume) of Scotland, Captain or Horse in war against England, Warden of East Marches 1578, Comptroller of Household of James VI in 1597, created by that monarch Earl of Dunbar 1605.
